So close to that pledge manager!

Good evening, agents.
We desperately wanted to have the BackerKit live for you this week, but unfortunately, this one has had multiple issues on the backend when it comes to the approval process. It’s by no means their fault; shipping just grows more complex every day, and a couple of the things we were trying to do to help streamline shipping through the pledge manager just weren’t clicking within their system. We have a call on Monday with their offices to get it finalized and approved, so some of you might be receiving survey links as early as that afternoon!
The moment the pledge manager does go live, we’ll be posting an update (so early next week barring any new surprises,) and we’ll be here to help anyone who might have any hiccups during that survey process. Thank you so much for all of your patience through the pledge manager approval process!
For those of you based in the North American Midwest, by the way, you can find us at two different conventions this weekend: Motor City Comic Con and St Louis Fan Expo! Come swing by and say hi if you can!
SHUX tickets are up for grabs!

Good evening, agents.
For starters, the (potentially) bad news. Shanghai, including our factory, has been shut down due to a Covid outbreak throughout the entire city. They’re hoping to be open again in a week, but this is definitely one of those situations where there are no guarantees. Depending on how long the outbreak remains, this could see some degree of delays on most board game projects, not just including ours, so we wanted to keep you posted! We have our fingers crossed for a swift recovery for the area.
Our art team has been knocking out all those designs submitted by our top agents and pledgers, and in a couple weeks, we’ll be very eager to show off some teasers of the monstrous sightings! It’s wild how the anomalies almost seem to be increasing in appearances…
But no need to worry about that! Instead, let it be known that tickets to SHUX ‘22, the Shut Up and Sit Down convention held in Vancouver, are now live! The very same team that helped create Monsdrawsity: SUSD will be hosting the event from September 30th to October 2nd, so step to it and check out those tickets.
Finally, we want to note that we were unable to launch the BackerKit this week due to some emergency circumstances at the office; we’ll be launching it next week instead, and we apologize for the delay! That means we’ll also have an extra update next week to check in on the roll-out of that pledge manager, and we’d like to thank you in advance for your patience.
BackerKit Incoming!

Good afternoon, agents.
Thank you everyone who participated in our Back for More mission. Headquarters has received your reports on anomaly sightings, and we’ve officially closed the window for submitting any further details. We’ve handed this classified information over to some of our most skilled department investigators, and I’ve no doubt the results will be quite… eye-opening.
In the meantime, I hope you’ll be keeping a close eye on your inbox. We’re prepared to launch the BackerKit for MonsDRAWsity: Unusual Suspects in two weeks (with our next update,) and it would be a shame if you missed out on vital intel. After all, we can’t properly outfit our agents if we don’t know where to ship your supplies. Be vigilant, and be ready!
A Monstrously Large Update

An Introduction
Hello, everyone!
I'm Jacob Way, the President of Ox Eye Media, the parent company of Source Point Press, Rip Rap Toys, and most importantly in this case, Deep Water Games! I wanted to take some time to update you all on a few of the bigger changes that have been happening at our company and how they're going to impact Deep Water going forward.
Lyx Lyon, the very same artist who designed our beautiful Rat Queens miniatures, is taking over as the lead production artist for our entire games division, and she's been doing a fantastic job of moving forward some projects you haven't even gotten to see yet. You'll see her work shine in MonsDRAWsity, Rat Queens, Floor Plan: Winchester Mystery House, and so much more.
I myself have also stepped into a larger role to lead our gaming department as Head of Games, and I'm just as excited to get our current projects into your hands as I am to reveal the next ones we have in store. Our warehouse is growing, both in size and workforce, and our intention is to smooth out every step of the process possible going forward: shipping, fulfillment, communication, design, from tip to toe.
Unfortunately it has been a tough 2 years and a lot of things fell to the wayside that should have not. I have been working hard to right the ship, but it is not an easy process and I wish I could thank every single one of you for your patience.
The Timeline
When it comes to MonsDRAWsity, we’re in the final lap right now; we’re still waiting to hear back from several people who submitted at the “Back for More” level, as we do have to submit those cards at the same time as the rest of the print files. On that note, if you pledged at that level and haven’t replied to our emails, please reach out! We don’t want to push the game to print without your input, but we can’t hold things off forever! Everything else is ready to go, though, and we’re so excited to share this vibrant cast of new monstrosities with you all!
This means that rather than the original June prediction, we’re looking like domestic fulfillment will happen closer to September to October, giving the game an appropriately spooky autumn release! International fulfillment should happen in the following 1-2 months barring any international ocean shipping issues.
How we are Moving Forward
In the future, we'll be striving to update unfulfilled Kickstarters every two weeks. Some parts of production move more slowly than others, so some of those updates might be a simple check-in to say everything's still business as usual, but we've heard you loud and clear: you want *consistent* communication, and we want to provide that for you.
We know that we're behind on our customer service inboxes, and we're also rerouting extra focus and time into that area to both catch up *and* maintain going forward. This includes our Kickstarter comments, where we want to provide a larger presence. [email protected] is still the correct address to reach out to in regards to any issues that you might have, and if you've initiated a ticket with them and haven't received a response, this is indeed one of the inboxes we're heavily focusing on fixing at the moment.
We're also working on smoothing out the replacement process on your side going forward; some of the new structuring in our warehouse is making room for future automated systems, and by this summer, we want the replacement process to be as simple as filling out a single form that instantly creates an order for our warehouse to fulfill. Obviously we'd like to get things right the first time around, but when mistakes happen, we want to make getting them fixed as smooth and easy as possible.
Thank you again for your patience,
Jacob Way
Head of Games
P.S. See you in two weeks!
New Year, New Monsters!

Good morning, agents! It's time to debrief you on the next phase of your Unusual Suspects assigned mission!
For starters, some of you agents signed up for a very special pledge level last year, allowing you the important task of designing your own monster! We'll be reaching out to those backers very soon to get descriptions for the monster you have in mind, and then some of our artists will work hard to bring to life your adorably horrific, chaotic creation. What monstrous joy!
The art that will get created from these backer-created prompts will be the last that we need before shooting the game files over to the printer! Once that whole process kicks off, we will let you know when each step happens.
While you wait for those production updates, we also want to find the right balance of showing you exciting upcoming bits of the game without spoiling full monster cards, as we all know how important it is that each creature be a new mystery while playing! So, what we'll be doing over the next few months is teasing you with little snippets of card art, starting with one of the designer's favorites!
What an adorable little grump! We love the idea of people trying to do their best impression of this face to describe it to the other players. The rest of this little critter's body has attitude to match. You'll see!
More updates coming soon!
