Tariff Delay

We have hit another road bump. 

US Backers:
tl;dr- We are pausing US fulfillment. We will continue international fulfillment, and we are finding ways to make the US fulfillment quicker when the tariffs are ended.

We can’t afford the additional 145% tariff on this project. We were already fulfilling out of pocket, see previous updates about Ox Eye, and this added amount (which would amount to near $30k in tariffs) is not possible. 

We tried to see if fulfilling from China to customers directly would work, but a 4.5 lb package (the most common package weight for this fulfillment) ended up costing $50.

We will be pausing all US based fulfillment. This is an unfortunate step but in the meantime we are going to make the fulfillment as quick as possible when the tariffs lift. One way we plan to accomplish this is we are going to prepack all rewards in China while we wait. By prepackaging we will just have to put a label on the packages when they arrive.

It is horrible to be in this position of just sitting on our hands, but until the administration changes their mind about trade policy we are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

NON-US Backers:
We will be prepacking all rewards and then we will ship out international packages.

We will not be offering refunds. We received $0 from Ox Eye to fulfill this campaign so therefore we have no way to refund any backer. 

I know this is not the news anyone wants to hear. This industry is in for a bumpy ride if these tariffs do not let up.

You also may have noticed that items offered on the campaign have appeared at retail stores, these units were purchased by Asmodee and shipped earlier than the Kickstarter rewards. Our hope was that the product would ship to backers close to the date Asmodee released the product, but the tariffs made the delay more than we expected.

Sorry for this additional delay. We are excited for everyone to get their hands on the new cards, so this is just a headache to have to wait due to a political tantrum.

Timeline Updates and New Allplay Team Up

Happy New Year Backers! We are pleased to announce that Friendly Skeleton has joined the Allplay Partnership program. Allplay will be taking over fulfillment of our MonsDRAWsity Kickstarter moving forward. We have provided them with all of our information from Backerkit. You will be receiving a new pledge manager request through their system. All future updates and support will be provided through their system.

Production is complete and shipping will be very soon. Backers should be getting their pledges in late March or early April.

Due to the timing with switching to Allplay for fulfillment there is the chance that product may be in stores prior to receiving your pledge. We apologize that this is the case.

We’ve got some great news: MonsDRAWsity: Unusual Suspects is officially on the way! The games are currently waiting to board ships en route to their respective countries, and we’ll soon be able to provide you with specific timelines for fulfillment.

Hello Monster Spotters!

We’re fresh off an exhilarating Gen Con and couldn’t be more excited to bring you some monstrous news about MonsDRAWsity: Unusual Suspects. The flood of monsters has officially arrived, and we are positively buried in them—just take a look at the photos below!

We’ve received the latest samples from our manufacturer, and let me tell you, these creatures are something special. With over 2 pounds of monsters across our entire range and more than 1 pound in our new products alone, we’ve got a monster overload on our hands. That’s a lot of monsters to wrangle!

These are the top-of-the-line proofs, and we’re thrilled to announce that production is officially underway. We’re in the final stretch now, and we’ll be back soon with another update that includes a delivery schedule and even more exciting details.
